Pilgrim Hats

These have to be one of the cutest thanksgiving snacks I have ever seen.

Here is what you need:

Fudge striped cookies
Marshmallows
Chocolate candy coating
Smarties

Dip the marshmallows in the chocolate and set then on top of an upside-down cookie. The put the smartie on the front for the buckle. Easy peasy!

Turkey Toast!

We saw these today and it was settled turkey toast for lunch! The kids gobbled these right up. I found this idea on http://littlenummies.net/2008/11/gobble-gobble/.

What we used:
Toast
Peanut butter
Chocolate chips
Cereal
Banana chips
Veggie straws
Gel frosting

I had all the ingredients in the orgial post but the kids had lots of fun using what was in our pantry.  They made it, they ate it!

Pilgram Hat Craft

Here is another one we make annually.  They are so cute on their cute little heads.

Here is what we used:
Construction paper
Stapler
Glue

I folded a larger piece of black paper in half. Then cut into a hat shape. Next cut a strip of the black paper and stapled to the inside to fit on head. Then l stapled sides (pictured above). Added a brim to front and the glued the buckle over staples.

Q-tip Indian Corn Craft

Dap, dap, dap, dot, dot, dot  🙂 These corn cobs will keep little fingers busy for a bit.

Here is what we used:
Construction paper
Paper bag
Twine
Paint
Q-tip
Scissors

I cut a corn shape out of the yellow paper and the paper bag. Then cut the paper bag one down the middle.

Give the kids the yellow, a few different colors of paint, and a q-tips. Let them paint.

Then punch two holes on the bottom of the corn and one in each half of the brown corn shape.

Take the twine and tie together as pictured.
